Rodriguez was advised by coach Zinedine Zidane to look elsewhere for first team football after missing out of the Spanish squad for the Euro 2016 championships.
However, Rodriguez €25million move to PSG makes him the most expensive transfer of a Real Madrid player from the their academy beating Alvaro Morata’s €22million switch to Juventus and Alvaro Negredo’s €19.4million to Sevilla.
