He also told her that she will also embark on spiritual deliverance which involve doing things extraordinary. The suspect then informed her that he will engage her for sex for three days and thereafter, perform other ritual after which she will become rich at a certain period.
She gave him the money and did other things he requested including sleeping with her for three days. But after few days, her situation did not change, instead it became worse off. When she went to complain, she could not find Olanrewaju at the Abaranje house where the rituals were performed, it was then she realised that she had been duped. Jumoke then went to Idimu police division to report the scam and Olanrewaju was trailed and arrested.
He confessed he only obtained her because he had no such power to cure poverty. Olanrewaju was later charged with conspiracy, sexual assault and stealing before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo where he was asked to be remanded in prison. The presiding magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola, granted Olanrewaju bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum. He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
